• Daybook set up:
    • The first four FULL pages (front and back) and the front of the 5th page will be your table of contents. Label them with Roman #s in the top corner ( I,II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX)
    • On the back of the fifth page, you will staple your syllabus for this class.
    • Starting with the page your syllabus is on you are going to number your pages L-1 (for left 1) and R-1 (for right 1) and go on until the end of your book.
    • You will be given color-coded learning charts and you will cut them out and glue them on the following pages
      • Reading: Literature (R-1)
      • Reading: Informational Texts (L-2)
      • Writing (R-2, L-3)
      • Speaking and Listening (R-3)
      • Language (L-4)
    • Your list of 10 most important events should be on page R-4
    • Your visual timeline should be on page L-5
    • Your table of contents should be filled out and up to date with the title of what is on the page and the page #
    • Each entry (besides the syllabus and learning charts) should have a date and a Learning Target Code- Ms. Wiltshire will let you know which codes to put on which activities.
  • Decorating Expectations
    • The cover of your notebook will be completely personalized- whether by magazine clippings, pictures, colors, etc
    • Your name and period will be easily visible on the front cover
    • Your personalization will be neat and well done (no loose edges, stuff falling off, etc).
